Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace
Participants will understand the need for DEI conversations in the workplace. Provides an overview of the benefits and supporting data.
Anti-Racism
In this workshop, we examine the historic and present realities of racism, how white supremacy and bias are a part of every organization, and how we have all been socialized and programmed in a race-based society. We use interactive exercises to learn how to be anti-racist.
Understanding Bias
Participants will understand the root of bias and be able to identify how we use mental shortcuts and how these lead to stereotypes.
Anti-Oppression 101
This workshop explores basic anti-oppression vocabulary, highlights privileges and marginalizations and provides a space to unpack microagressions and biases. This workshop is highly interactive and includes reflexivity exercises.
LGBTQ Identities, Intersectionality and Pride
This workshop defines and delves into LGBTQ vocabulary, history of LGBTQ communities and Pride. We unpack gendered assumptions and discuss intersectionality.
Unpacking Ableism
This workshop addresses ableism within an intersectional framework, defines accessibility and accommodations, and helps participants to unpack ableism and engage meaningfully with anti-ableist discourse. This workshop is meant to address ableism not just within customer/client interactions, but within general interpersonal relationships.
Accommodations and Accessibility in the Workplace
This workshop is geared toward managers and HR professionals and focuses on supporting them in making a workplace more inclusive and comfortable for disabled or chronically ill folks.
Developing Awareness – Identities and Privilege
Participants will be able to identify where they exist within different power systems, and how other people may experience those systems differently.
Allyship and Inclusive Language
Participants will understand the role of allies, and develop more inclusive habits in daily interactions.
